YOUTH CAMP HIGHLIGHTS
Past Events have included:
-
A hidden gem right here in our backyard. We will spend a good amount of time doing our day camps here throughout the summer. It offers hiking trails, river access for swimming, an arboretum, and lots of space for meditation, yoga and ecological exploration.
-
Fishing isn't just one of America's favorite pastimes, but it also offers the opportunity to get out and explore the beauties of Oregon. We will spend some time teaching the basic fundamentals of fishing in hopes that teaching you how to fish will help feed yourself for a lifetime.Mini description here…
-
We will journey up the beautiful Mckenzie River and hike into Blue Pool, which is where the river actually comes out of the ground and forms what is called a tamolitch pool. The hike is 4.2 miles round-trip, offering amazing scenery and wildlife all along the way..
-
Teaching the basics of campsite set up and organization. Learning how to start a fire from scratch, cleaning your drinking water from the local creek and other intro how-tos are taught/demonstrated.
-
We will head to the coast to spend the day checking out the aquatic life at the aquarium. Then we’ll head over to the beach for some fun activities and games in the sand and sea.
-
One of the most highly anticipated camp days. We will head to Portland and spend the day jetting along the Willamette River, and stop for lunch at a local boat restaurant. The boat will go by huge tanker ships that are docked, swing by some of the local eagle’s nests, and maybe even do a 360° turn, making the water splash up into the boat for added fun.
