Summer Day Camp 2023
Monday, June 19th - Friday, June 30th, from 9am to 4-6pm

*A special evening only Celebration Dinner will be held from 6-8pm on Friday, June 30th for campers and their families.

Details: A total of 9 camp days are included. Open to ages 11-18 years old.

What to expect? Overall boost in well-being, new friendships, smiles and adventures of all kinds with Mother Nature.
What to bring? An open mind, your curiosity and (layered) clothing appropriate per that day’s scheduled activity.
What’s provided? Backpack, shirt, + a Hydro Flask water bottle.

Schedule: Please arrive 15 minutes early for preparation before departure.

  • Mon. June 19, 8:30am to 4pm: First day of camp gather at 8:30am for meet & greet, camp introduction and orientation. Then gear up for the Salem Ropes challenge course. This activity not only focuses on strength, but also teamwork, communication skills, encouragement, and bonding. 🤝🏽

  • Tues. June 20, 9am to 3:30pm: Day 2 We will spend the day with the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife, learn about local ecology and test our skills in fishing and archery. 🏹

  • Weds. June 21, 9am to 5:00pm: Day 3 We plan to explore the Willamette River - by jet boat, with Willamette Jet Boat Excursions in Portland. 🚤

  • Thurs. June 22, 9am to 3:30: Day 4
    We’ll spend the morning with SHIFT on a local bike cruise. For the afternoon we’ll explore at SparkLab learning about STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) using 3d printers to make designs. 🚲

  • Fri. June 23, 9am to 4:00: Day 5
    We’ll head up the McKenzie River for a rain forest adventure including the Blue Pool Hike and a tour of Salahie Falls. 🏞️

  • Mon. June 26, 9am to 3:30: Day 6
    We’ll team up with Whole Earth Nature School for a day of exploration and education on outdoors skills. 🥾

  • Tues. June 27, 9am to 3:30: Day 7
    We’ll start out the day focused on conservation/giving back to our community with the City of Eugene Parks & Recreation Department. Later that afternoon we’ll be learning directly from local farmers about what it takes to run a bio-regenerative farm and build a healthy & happy partnership with animals. 🐮

  • Weds. June 28, 9am to 5:00: Day 8
    Trip to Newport to visit the beach and the Oregon Coast Aquarium. We’ll also enjoy a seaside lunch, play time on the sand and a dip in the ocean. Maybe we’ll even spot one of our local whale residents! 🐳

  • Thurs. June 29, 9am to 6:00: Day 9
    Why not save the best for last? With Finn Rock and a McKenzie River rafting trip. We’ll make a splash to wrap up our amazing B2Y Summer adventure. 🛶

  • Fri. June 30, 6pm to 8pm: Special EVENING ONLY EVENT
    Let’s celebrate the end of B2Y’s 2023 Summer Camp adventure season by getting together, sharing a meal (provided by B2Y), our gratitude and highlighting our greatest successes with our families. The B2Y Team, campers & their families are welcome to join in. .*Further details provided to enrolled families prior to camp. 🍕
