Late July Camp Schedule

  • Monday July 21, 8:30am to 4pm:
    Day 1
First day of camp, meet at 8:30am for orientation, meet & greet, camp introduction, then we’ll kick our adventure week off by rock climbing with the guidance and support of the Riverhouse Outdoor Program at the Skinner’s Butte Rock Columns, learning the importance of teamwork and building mindfulness and resilience skills. For the afternoon, we’ll try our luck at fishing with Oregon Dept. of Fish + Wildlife (ODFW) Team.

  • Tuesday July 22, 8:30am to 4pm:
    Day 2

For our second camp day, we’ll horse around with Solid Strides, where we’ll learn about and connect with horses. Animals can be some of the most supportive allies we have in life and we feel its important to offer experiences that include connection with animal allies, as part of our overall connection with nature. Then we’ll SHIFT into gear with an afternoon bike ride guided by SHIFT Community Cycles.

  • Wednesday July 23, 8:30am to 4pm: Day 3
We’ll enjoy an adventurous day, making the most of our local water holes, with a day of kayaking with the River House Outdoor Program at Dexter Reservoir (Dexter Lake).

  • Thursday July 24, 8:30am to 4pm:
    Day 4
Beach day play! Starting with a hike along Amanda’s Trail, in the Siuslaw National Forest, near Yahacts. Amanda’s Trail will take us through calm, lush coastal woodlands and then wind into a steep climb to the summit of Cape Perpetua, for some of the best panoramic Pacific Ocean views around. We’ll also enjoy a seaside lunch, play time on the sand and maybe even a refreshing quick dip in the ocean.

  • Friday July 25, 8:30am to 4pm:
    Day 5
For our last day of camp, we’ll make our final big splash with an all day McKenzie River white water rafting trip from Finn Rock to Helfrich., led by the River House Outdoor Program.

*Please note, our Summer Camp schedule is subject to change depending on weather conditions, the availability of collaborators and other factors that may be outside of our control. We will keep the schedule in tact, but some activities or locations may shift prior to the date listed. Of course, we will keep those enrolled and their families informed of any changes as promptly and with as much advanced notice as conditions allow. Thank you! - The B2Y Team
