READ BEFORE SIGNING UP/REGISTERING YOUTH FOR CAMP EVENTS.

YOUR REGISTRATION/APPLICATION WILL REQUIRE YOU TO ACKNOWLEDGE, THAT
YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTOOD & AGREED TO OUR CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICIES PROVIDED HERE AND THAT YOU HAVE DONE SO KNOWINGLY, WILLINGLY AND VOLUNTARILY.

IN CONSIDERATION OF my child/ward participating in any way in Back2Youth, and their related events and activities; I, their parent/guardian acknowledge, appreciate and agree that Back2Youth understands that family schedules can change and unexpected events occur. We are happy to accommodate schedule changes and cancellations in our camps — as specified below. *Please also note, a significant amount of the cost of camp is invested long before the program start date.

At the time of camp registration, we do collect a
non-refundable deposit of $50 dollars.  Cancellations made within 3 days of registering will always be honored and refunded in full, less the deposit fee.
Late notice cancellations can also result in the lack of access for another child (or children) to participate in our scheduled events. Refunds do vary based on the amount of advanced notice you are able to provide us.

  • With more than 28 days notice given before camp starts:
All paid fees are refunded, minus the $50 registration deposit.

  • With 28-21 days notice given prior to the registered camp start date:
75% refund of total registration fees paid will be given, minus the $50 registration deposit.

  • With 21-14 days notice given prior to the registered camp start date:
50% refund of total registration fees paid, minus the $50 registration deposit.

  • Within 14 days prior to the registered camp start date:
    NO REFUNDS are issued.

  • In the event of a health condition that causes a cancellation, written notification from a medical professional is required for a full refund.

  • If a child presents ill with COVID symptoms or has a positive test prior to their session the above medical policy applies.

  • If your child leaves camp early or arrives late due to homesickness, behavior challenges, other activities to attend, or at the camper/parent request, there will be no refunds or prorated fees.

Weather

While cancellations on our part are a rare occurrence, they could happen. We do everything that we can to adjust the camp day so we can safely run our scheduled program and we make these decisions in real time, as conditions change. At unforeseen times however, if we must make the hard decision to cancel a camp day, the two main weather related concerns are extreme heat and air quality. The B2Y leadership can also decide to cancel a camp due to any other safety concern(s) or emergencies. *If a full camp day is canceled by Back2Youth, you may elect to receive a prorated credit toward a future program.

Sickness/Injury/Scheduled Absences/No-Shows Policy/Behavioral

All of our youth education programs have limited space to ensure a high-quality experience, we cannot credit, refund, or prorate tuition for scheduled absences, no-shows or days missed due to illness, injury or behavioral circumstances.

Participants who do not attend their registered camp day(s) (for any reason; including summer school or vacation) or who do not contact Back2Youth in advance, will not receive a refund or credit.

Withdrawal and refund requests must be made directly to Back2Youth.

As some activities require a non-refundable registration fee with other partner organizations, all withdrawals from recreation activities are subject to a withdrawal fee. A withdrawal fee of $10 will be charged for each registration under $100. A withdrawal fee of $25 will be charged for each registration $100 and higher.

A refund will be issued, minus the withdrawal fee when requested at least seven (7) or more calendar days prior to the first camp day or activity.

When a refund is requested six (6) or fewer calendar days prior to the first activity meeting or once a class or activity has started, a refund shall be issued ONLY if:

  • You move out of town.

  • You are medically unable to participate.

  • Department action requires cancellation of the activity (no withdrawal fee will be charged).

Refunds will be prorated for any/all camp days already attended.

No refund will be issued if the camper fails to show up for a registered activity/camp day.

COVID-19

If your child tests positive for Covid-19 before or during camp, you will have the following refund options:

  • Full refund, minus your deposit (or a pro-rated credit once camp has begun)

  • A tuition credit for a future camp program (with the option to move into a later camp date, provided there is space available and your camper is able to pass required health checks at that time)

If Back2Youth cancels a session after it has begun, we are unable to guarantee refunds. By the time camp is in session, we have incurred all of our expenses. However, we will do our best to provide partial refunds if and when possible - especially for families experiencing financial duress - but we cannot make any promises.

PARTICIPANT/CAMPER BEHAVIOR

Back2Youth makes the safety and enjoyment of all campers a top priority.

  • If the safety of staff, campers or property is at risk, the camper will be removed from class immediately and sent home.

  • If a behavior issue occurs, educators will redirect campers.

  • If the behavior continues, campers will be removed from the classroom and parents/guardians will be called. Education staff, parents and campers will work together to problem-solve the situation and create a behavior plan for the camper so s/he can return to camp.

  • If behavior issues continue, the camper will be removed from class and sent home for the day.

  • If it is determined that a resolution cannot be met, Back2Youth reserves the right to remove a child from camp.
