READ BEFORE SIGNING UP/REGISTERING YOUTH FOR EVENTS.
Your registration/application requires you to acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to our Behavior Policy provided here, and that you have done so knowingly, willingly, and voluntarily.
As part of registration, a checkbox is included to confirm that the Behavior Policy Agreement has been reviewed with the participant and that both parent/guardian and child agree to its expectations. We ask each camper and their parent/guardian to review and commit to the following shared agreements.
At Back2Youth, we believe camp is a place to grow, explore, build confidence, and be part of a community where everyone feels safe, supported, and respected. Each camper helps create that experience. This commitment is about showing up in a way that honors yourself, others, and the group.
My Commitment at Camp
As a Back2Youth camper, I agree that I will:
Treat others with kindness, respect, and compassion.
Include others and respect different feelings, experiences, and perspectives.
Use words and actions that help create a safe and positive environment.
Respect my body, other people’s bodies, and everyone’s personal space.
Stay with my group and follow directions from staff and volunteers.
Take care of camp spaces, equipment, and belongings.
Ask for help when I need support or when I see someone else who may need help.
Take responsibility for my choices and how I show up each day.
Be open to learning, growing, trying new things, and supporting others in doing the same.
Behaviors That Impact Safety and Belonging
To help keep camp safe and welcoming for everyone, I understand that these behaviors are not okay:
Fighting, roughhousing, or unsafe behavior.
Bullying, teasing, threatening, or intentionally excluding others.
Disrespectful, harmful, or inappropriate language.
Unsafe or unwanted physical contact.
Taking pictures or videos of others without permission.
Taking or damaging things that do not belong to me.
Using a cell phone in ways that are not allowed at camp.
Bringing prohibited or unsafe items, including weapons, drugs, vape pens, or alcohol.
Refusing to follow directions that are meant to keep everyone safe.
Prohibited Items Include, But Are Not limited to:
Weapons of any kind
Drugs, alcohol, vape pens, tobacco, nicotine products, or any illegal substances
Lighters, matches, or fireworks
Pocket knives or sharp objects
Items that are dangerous, disruptive, or not appropriate for a youth camp setting
When Challenges Come Up
Back2Youth believes in support, accountability, and second chances when possible. If I make a choice that does not follow camp expectations, staff will help guide me toward safer and more respectful behavior. Depending on the situation, this may include:
A conversation with a staff member
Time to pause, reset, and reflect
A call home to a parent or guardian
Being sent home for the day
Removal from camp if the behavior continues or creates an unsafe environment for others or self
Our Shared Goal
Back2Youth wants every camper to succeed. We believe camp can be a place of belonging, growth, fun, and empowerment when everyone does their part. This commitment helps us build a camp community where all participants can feel safe, valued, and encouraged to be their best selves.
Important Note:
If a camper is sent home or removed from camp because of behavior concerns, no refund will be issued.
