Early July Day Camp

Details: A total of 5 camp days are included. Open to all Lane County youth, ages 11-14 years old, ENROLLED IN MIDDLE SCHOOL as of the Fall 2026 session.
Cost? The cost of this year’s 5-day June camp is $250/per child enrolled.
*A limited-edition Back2Youth t-shirt is also included as an added THANK YOU gift for all registered campers. Please know we don’t wish to make finances a barrier to enrollment. We do offer some scholarships for youth who qualify. If you’re greatly interested in your child’s participation with us, but finances are a barrier to access, please contact us FIRST before filling out the form to register. Our team will connect with you to support and confirm your child’s enrollment.
What to expect? An overall boost in well being, leading to increased resilience, empowerment, self confidence and mindfulness, a decrease in anxiety, stress and depression symptoms, + new friendships, smiles, laughter, play and adventures of all kinds with Mother Nature.
What to bring? An open mind, your curiosity and layered, weather appropriate clothing for that day’s scheduled activity. *We’ll provide further details, as well as, information and a Prep for Summer Camp Checklist with confirmed registration, closer to the event.
Early July (Middle School)
Camp Schedule
Monday July 6, 8:30am to 4:30pm:
Day 1
First day of camp, meet at 8:30am for orientation, meet & greet, camp introduction, then we’ll head up North to the Salem Ropes Challenge Course, for a day of team building and treetop fun.Tuesday July 7, 8:30am to 4:30pm:
Day 2
For our second camp day, we’ll explore and hike along the waterfall filled trails of the largest state park in Oregon. Silver Falls State Park, located abut 25 miles outside of Salem, boasts more than 9,000 acres of protected wilderness, as well as, some of the most spectacular waterfalls around, including the 177-foot South Falls and the 178-foot Double Falls.Wednesday July 8, 8:30am to 4:30pm: Day 3
We’ll enjoy an adventurous day, making the most of our local water holes, with a day of kayaking with the River House Outdoor Program at Dexter Reservoir (Dexter Lake).Thursday July 9, 8:30am to 4:30pm:
Day 4
Give back day! When gratitude fills us up to the brim, that’s when we know it’s time to give back. So with support and guidance from the Willamette River Keepers we’ll join together to “Paddle and Pull” our way down the river, while removing invasive plant species all along the way.Friday July 10, 8:30am to 4:30pm:
Day 5
For our last day of camp, we’ll make our final big splash with an all day McKenzie River rafting trip from Finn Rock to Helfrich., led by the River House Outdoor Program.

We will keep the schedule in tact, but some activities or locations may shift prior to the date listed.
