READ BEFORE SIGNING UP/REGISTERING YOUTH FOR EVENTS.

Your registration/application requires you to acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to our Liability Terms provided here, and that you have done so knowingly, willingly, and voluntarily.

By submitting a registration form and checking the agreement box, you confirm your acceptance of the following terms on behalf of yourself and your child or ward.

1. Assumption of Risk

I understand that participation in Back2Youth camps, events, programs, activities, transportation, outdoor recreation, wellness practices, and related experiences involves inherent risks. These risks may include, but are not limited to, injury, illness, exposure to communicable illness, emotional distress, property damage, permanent disability, or death.

I understand that while Back2Youth takes reasonable precautions to promote safety, including the use of rules, supervision, equipment, and program guidelines, risks cannot be completely eliminated.

For myself, and on behalf of my spouse, partner, co-parent, co-guardian, child, or ward, I knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my child’s participation, whether known or unknown, and accept full responsibility for my child’s participation in Back2Youth activities, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

2. Agreement to Follow Rules and Report Concerns

I agree to comply with all stated and customary terms, rules, instructions, and conditions for my child’s participation in Back2Youth programs and activities.

If I observe any unusual or significant concern regarding my child’s readiness, health, behavior, or safety, or regarding the safety of the program or activity itself, I will immediately remove my child from participation and promptly notify a Back2Youth staff member, volunteer, or event official.

3. Release and Waiver of Liability

For myself, and on behalf of my spouse, partner, co-parent, co-guardian, child or ward, and our heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, I hereby release, waive, and hold harmless Back2Youth and its directors, officers, board members, employees, staff, volunteers, agents, affiliates, community partners, sponsors, advertisers, participating organizations, property owners, and lessors of premises used for programs or events (collectively, the “Releasees”) from any and all claims, demands, causes of action, liabilities, damages, losses, or expenses arising out of or related to any injury, illness, disability, death, or loss or damage to person or property resulting from my child’s participation in any Back2Youth program, event, camp, or activity, whether arising from the negligence of the Releasees or otherwise, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

4. Indemnification

For myself, and on behalf of my spouse, partner, co-parent, co-guardian, child or ward, and our heirs, assigns, personal representatives, and next of kin, I agree to indemnify and hold harmless the Releasees from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, or expenses arising out of or related to my child’s participation in Back2Youth programs or activities, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

5. Educational, Wellness, and Health Disclaimer

I understand and acknowledge that the information, activities, mindfulness practices, meditations, resources, and general wellness support offered through Back2Youth camps, events, website, social media channels, and other materials are provided for educational and informational purposes only.

6. Parent/Guardian Responsibility

I affirm that I am the parent or legal guardian of the child or ward named in the registration. I understand the nature of the activities involved and the risks associated with participation. I accept full responsibility for my child’s participation and for ensuring that my child follows all rules, requirements, and directions established by Back2Youth and event organizers.

I further affirm that I have explained, in an age appropriate way, the importance of safe, respectful participation and following camp or program rules.

I understand that Back2Youth makes no guarantees regarding specific outcomes, results, or personal benefits from participation. I acknowledge that each participant’s experience is unique and influenced by many factors beyond the control of Back2Youth.

7. Media Release

Please note that opting out of the media release will not affect my child’s opportunity to participate in any Back2Youth activity, event, camp, or program.

Unless I choose to opt out through the registration form, I grant permission for Back2Youth to photograph, video record, audio record, and/or interview my child during programs, camps, events, or activities.

I understand and agree that these photographs, videos, recordings, and interviews may be used by Back2Youth and, when applicable, trusted news or media partners, for educational, storytelling, program evaluation, promotional, fundraising, advertising, website, social media, print, digital, broadcast, and other public communication purposes, without compensation or further approval.

I understand that by agreeing to this media release, I am granting consent for media use as described above.

8. Privacy Notice Related to Media Use

I understand that a media release opt-out option is available in the registration form. If I select that option, Back2Youth will make every reasonable effort to ensure that my child is not included in promotional media content.

I understand that Back2Youth will make reasonable efforts to honor privacy and protect participant information. Personal information, and my child’s identity, will not be sold to third parties at any time.

9. Voluntary Agreement and Acknowledgment

I HAVE READ THIS RELEASE OF LIABILITY, ASSUMPTION OF RISK, EDUCATIONAL DISCLAIMER, AND MEDIA RELEASE AGREEMENT FOR MINOR PARTICIPANTS. I FULLY UNDERSTAND ITS TERMS AND UNDERSTAND THAT BY REGISTERING OR APPLYING FOR A BACK2YOUTH PROGRAM, EVENT, CAMP, OR ACTIVITY, I AM GIVING UP CERTAIN LEGAL RIGHTS AND ACCEPTING THE RESPONSIBILITIES DESCRIBED ABOVE ON BEHALF OF MYSELF AND MY CHILD OR WARD.

I ACKNOWLEDGE THAT I AM AGREEING TO THIS FREELY AND VOLUNTARILY, WITHOUT ANY INDUCEMENT.
