A Sanskrit Poem to Enliven your Morning Routine

Look to this day,
for it is life, the very breath of life.
In its brief course lie
all the realities of your existence;
the bliss of growth,
the glory of action,
the splendor of beauty.
For yesterday is only a dream,
and tomorrow is but a vision.
But today, well lived,
makes every yesterday a dream of happiness,
and every tomorrow
a vision of hope.
Look well, therefore, to this day.

─ Sanskrit poem by Kalidasa, an Indian playwright and poet during the 4th and 5th Century AD

Beautiful words holding such deep truth within them. Encouraging us all to embrace each day, just as it is - with gratitude and value. No longer waiting for outer circumstances to ‘all fall into place’ in order to embrace happiness or the fullness, and magic of life - available to us in every breath.

May these words ignite you into a new paradigm of JOY and abunDANCE. No longer starving yourself of the peace and contentment for you here in the Now moment. This doesn’t mean we don’t seek to see a better future and great changes ahead that support ourselves, others and the planet, but that we no longer restrict ourselves by locking into the ‘waiting game of some day’ I can be happy and free, but not until X,Y,Z happens . . .

Be fully ALIVE now, no longer giving your power away to the past or to any potential future outcomes. Anchor fully in the present here and Now, and embrace your true power to live freely from your heart. I invite us all to “look well, therefore, to this day”.
